Rockstar Recommends Not Installing GTAV’s Xbox 360 ‘Play’ Disc
Well, better to know what to do and what not to do before the game comes out, as Rockstar, in a response to a question on Twitter, is advising players to not install Grand Theft Auto V‘s ‘Play’ disc to the 360 Hard Drive. If you weren’t aware already, GTAV comes on two discs on the Xbox 360, one that requires an install and another that allows you to play the game. Normally, installing a game helps with load times and performance, but in the case of GTAV, it would seem that installing the ‘Play’ disc will have a negative affect on the game’s performance.
Said Rockstar, “For optimal performance, we recommend not installing that disc. We will have more info on our Support Site at launch.”

Sony Confirm Voice & Gesture Control For PS4
Could this be the ‘Wii/Kinect-Phenomenon’ all over again? Sony recently spoke with Engadget, confirming that their next generation console, the PS4, will support both voice and gesture control through the PlayStation Camera.
With the console launching on November 15th in North America and in Europe on November 29th, are voice and gesture commands something that you really need in a next generation console? Especially after Sony went to so much trouble in saying that the PS4 was a machine designed for gamers by gamers.

PlayStation 4 Will Support Video Capture Through HDMI
The PlayStation 4 will allow users to capture video game footage using HDMI, Sony announced during TGS earlier today.
Brad Douglas, Head of Third Part Relations for Sony Computer Entertainment, took to Twitter to follow up the announcement by saying, “I think we just announced that we’re going to allow video capture of games over HDMI! “Details will follow soon.””
If this wasn’t enough of a confirmation, Douglas later confirmed the news to Polygon, who was also attending the event.

EA’s New CEO is Andrew Wilson
The new CEO at EA who will now lead the company after John Riccitiello resigned in March has been chosen, and its been revealed to be Andrew Wilson, who was previously the Executive VP for EA Sports and EA’s Origin.
“Let me start by saying I am deeply honored and humbled to become EA’s CEO,” said Wilson in a blog post on the EA website. “I have a profound respect and passion for this organization, as well as for our global community of fans, and I’m incredibly motivated to serve our people, our gamers and our shareholders at such an exciting time in our industry.
I envision EA as the World’s Greatest Games Company. This is not about what we are aiming for or what we will become. Rather, it is about an unfaltering commitment to what we will be every day. This is an attitude that must drive our culture as one team.”

Nintendo Is “Very Much Aware” Of Demand For A Unified Account Across 3DS & Wii U
Many gamers have become frustrated with Nintendo and its lack of an account system ever since the Nintendo Wii was originally launched meaning that if your console broke, you would lose all of your virtual console games and (unless Nintendo was feeling generous) would have to re-buy them all alongside a new console.
This didn’t get any better with the introduction of the 3DS and the Wii U where gamers are now seeing a huge push from Nintendo in digital distribution, allowing full retail games to be purchased as digital copies alongside NES, Snes, GameBoy, GameBoy Color and exclusive eShop titles.
