The Unfinished Swan Set to Release Later This Month
It’s nice when a game gets a release date that just so happens to be in the month we’re currently in; it almost makes the process of waiting easier. Case in point, The Unfinished Swan has been given a release date of October 23rd; with PlayStation Plus members being able to get their hands on it a week earlier (Oct 16th). All you need in 14.99 and some space on your hard drive.

THQ Reveal DLC Plans For WWE 13
The DLC plans to follow the release of WWE 13 have been revealed by THQ earlier this week. A total of three Content Groups have been announced together, each one featuring a number of different options available to the player. Several packs are to be released in groups, meaning that each Content Group will feature lots of DLC options. The superstars will be released in groups of five or six and are purchasable individually for 80 MS points a piece, or $0.99 on PSN. Other items will cost slightly more and will feature moves, items and outfits that you can customize your superstars with.

Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC Season Pass Confirmed
Ubisoft officially announced a new Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed III. Combining five DLC packs to be released over the six months following the official release of Assassin’s Creed III, this Season Pass will save you about 10 bucks over buying all five DLC packs separately. Interestingly, we found out as well that only two of the DLC packs will be multiplayer focussed. The other three will combine together to make up a brand new singleplayer campaign set in an alternate timeline where George Washington goes mad with power and our hero, Connor, is forced to commit regicide. The Season Pass will cost 2400 MS Points or $29.99 on PS3

PSN October Deal: Spend $100 and Get $20 Credit
Sony has just kicked off a new campaign to wet appetites: spend $100 on the PSN in October and get $20 worth of credit in November. Old or new games, it doesn’t matter, just spend that money and get credit in return! This promotion only applies to the first $100 you spend, though. PS Plus users can still get 10% off purchases they make during this, as stated on the PS Blog. This is pretty well timed as October is set to be a big month for gaming, with Resident Evil 6 and Assassin’s Creed III coming, with day 1 digital releases of these titles, plus a few more.

The DLC in The Mass Effect Trilogy Depends on Which Platform You Buy it For
Here’s something to annoy you today, regarding Mass Effect; because we all needed that, right? Apparently, despite its upcoming trilogy including all 3 of the Mass Effect games, the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will contain different amounts of DLC. With the PC version offering the most, but still missing a lot. The news comes from Eurogamer, who notes that the PC version of the Mass Effect Trilogy comes with the two DLC add-ons for Mass Effect (Bring Down the Sky, Pinnacle Station), the Cerberus Network DLC for Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3‘s Online Pass, so that you can play multiplayer and stuff. The Xbox 360, meanwhile, only comes with the Cerberus Network and the Online Pass for Mass Effect 3.

Cliff Bleszinski Leaves Epic Games
Epic Games Design Director, Cliff Bleszinski, is parting ways with the studio. There was no mention as to what Cliff plans to do next in his career, but it sounds like he may be leaving the gaming industry all together. This comes just months after Rod Fergusson left Epic Games to join Irrational Games and key members left People Can Fly. “I’ve been doing this since I was a teenager, and outside of my sabbatical last year, I have been going non-stop. I literally grew up in this business, as Mike likes to say. And now that I’m grown up, it’s time for a much needed break.”
