Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-Up, the weekly (and ever evolving) time when we look at the top five news stories of the week, in no particular order. People Can Fly, developer of Bulletstorm, is now property of Epic Games. The move is indeed linked to three key members of PCF leaving the company, those being Andrzej Poznanski, Adrian Chmielarz and Michal Kosieradzki. It’s being said though, that their decision to part ways was done on friendly terms. Mark Rein of Epic stated that their departure would not impact games currently in development. “We doubled down on People Can Fly,” he stated. “It was something we always hoped to do.”

Capcom has announced that it will be the publisher of the upcoming game Remember Me. The game was formerly under the alias Adrift last year, and was to be a multiplatform project by French developer, DONTNOD entertainment. However, apparently Capcom has taken over publishing of the project within the last twelve months, renamed it, and ensured it will be an exclusive PlayStation 3 title.

Activision has released the trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified. Neven Dravinski, the game’s producer says of the Nihilistic Software developed title, says; “One of Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified’s compelling features is the fact that you can take the established gameplay everyone knows and loves and bring it to the PS Vita,” This means that familiar aspects of the game like Create-a-class, Perks, and Prestige Levels will all be present.

If you are like many fans of the Halo franchise, you are excited for the upcoming Halo 4 and the pending trilogy. You probably already have ideas of where you’d like to see the trilogy go and end. Steve Downes, the voice actor who plays Master Chief, has his own ideas of where he would like things to go for John-117, and they are not pretty.

A new multiplayer mode in Hitman: Absolution called “Contracts” was previewed at Gamescom today. In Contracts, players are able to play through a scenario and choose any NPC as a target to take out. How you play is all recorded and captured as separate objectives that other players must achieve while playing through your contract, so you can make quite a challenge by using some unorthodox methods of taking out your targets

This week had a lot of big news (thanks to Camescom) and the news staff and I found it hard to narrow it down to the usual five stories. Here are some of the articles for the honorable mention section. Borderlands 2 lead designer John Hemingway has landed himself in trouble with internet social activists, after referring numerous times towards the skill set of the future character class for Borderlands 2 as “Girlfriend Mode.” Sony announced that PSOne classics will be coming to the PlayStation Vita on August 28 via a system update. Capcom has announced a new online service for the upcoming game Resident Evil 6. The service will be called Resident Evil.net.
