Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced the “Porsche Legends Pack” for Project CARS 2 and will launch early next month with 9 iconic Porsche cars.
Some of the cars include the current Porsche GT-Runner, the 2017 Porsche 911 RSR and the historic 1972 Porsche 917/10, which has been dubbed the “Can-Am Killer.” Slightly Mad Studios says the 1972 Porsche 917/10 is “an analogue monster whose 5-litre flat-12 boxer was mated to two massive big-box turbos to create what many consider the most brutal car in sports car history.”
While the exact date for the “Porsche Legends Pack” has not been announced, racers can expect the release to launch in early March. Ahead of this release, Slightly Mad Studios have released “Update 4” on PC for Project CARS 2, which is set to release any moment on Xbox One and PS4. In the update, players can expect numerous performance and stability improvements, gameplay balance tweaking, UI and rendering enhancements, and extensive AI improvements across many locations and vehicle classes.
Project CARS 2 launched on Sep. 22 last year and currently sits at an average Metascore of 83.7 on Metacritic.
Slightly Mad Studios, the developers of Project CARS 2, is the team behind the GTR series, Need for Speed Shift and Shift 2 Unleashed. The studio has over 10 years of experience in making racing games and according to them, Project CARS “represents the culmination of all that experience and heritage.”
Project CARS 2 publisher, Bandai Namco, is the company behind franchises like Soul Calibur, Dark Souls, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Dragon Ball, Galaga, Ridge Racer and Ace Combat.
