Final Fantasy VII Remake’s coming very soon to PlayStation 4 fans, after multiple delays and situations. Soon, players will be able to experience the first part of the iconic 1993 journey, remastered and restored. However, not everything’s all perfect for April 10th, Final Fantasy VII Remake’s street date.
Some players have gotten early copies of the game, breaking this street date. The first sign of a street date-broken copy comes from Reddit user u/NateLo22, who revealed the Deluxe Edition’s contents. He didn’t post any in-game spoilers, though. You can see the post below:
As stated before I would post what the inside of the deluxe edition looks like in person, don’t worry I will not post any spoilers from the actual game.

What this means is that potential spoilers of the game’s content are now much more likely. This means, if you were planning to play the game blind, you’ll have to stay off social media.
Square Enix’s Responses
Square Enix, developers of the game, quickly caught wind of the street date breaking. This comes in addition to the news of physical copies not being guaranteed for April 10th. Let’s go over both statements right now.
When it comes to physical copies in relation to April 10th, they had this to say:
“As you will be aware, many countries are limiting entry or closing their national and state borders and restricting the distribution and delivery of non-essential items,” Square Enix said. “Understandably these restrictions are being implemented so that essential items can reach their destination as fast as possible.”
They added to that first statement with another one. This time, they addressed the possibility of box copies being dispatched. They said, “we cannot control the date the game may arrive,” factoring in the worldwide health issues.
The third statement, which regards today’s update, refers to the Reddit leaked copy. Square Enix responded with, “We are working hard to ensure as many of you as possible can play the game on April 10 and will update further when we have more information. Thank you for your continued support and most importantly, stay safe.”
So, as much as society wants to play Final Fantasy VII Remake, they have two options. They’ll have to either get lucky physically or buy digitally. Spoilers are obviously going to happen, so be cautious online.
