Nightdive Studios’ upcoming remake of cult classic System Shock is now available for pre-order. And to whet your appetite for the game, a demo is available as well. This demo will allow you to see the most complete to date version of the first chapter of the title.
You can pre-order the title on Steam, GOG and The Epic Game Store for release Summer of 2021. This is something to look forward to since we all will most likely still be locked indoors. Nothing like playing the remake of a classic during the first year of the two weeks to slow the curve.
Other than receiving the game for your pre-order you will also be given System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition. That’s a pretty nice incentive to pre-order this title. When I pre-order games I usually get a lousy set of horse armor, or some in-game skin that doesn’t do anything at all.
The original System Shock was released in 1994 and soon gained cult status due to its take on AI that goes rogue and attempts to murder you after your six month nap. You’ll get to battle robots, mutants, cyborgs all while trying to take down SHODAN, who seems to have a sudden God complex. Makes me wish this title was coming to consoles. Hopefully in the near future.
