The new trailer for Breath of the Wild that was shown at the very end of Nintendo’s Switch conference has left LoZ fans speechless. The game was also announced to be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch.
Landscapes featuring familiar creatures and new ones dot the scenes that are so beautiful tears will stream from Hyrulian eyes. Lovely soft colors make the world seem peaceful and tranquil until the explosions happen. A voice of an old women tells Link that the history of Hyrule is tied to that of the Calamity of Ganon. Another voice, presumably the King, asks Link to save his daughter.
We learn that some terrible fate has befallen the world 100 years ago and Link must go through trials before he is able to hear the truth. A familiar scene of the holy Master Sword sleeping in the forest is also presented, alluding to the need for Hyrule’s most courageous knight to awaken and save the innocent. Although the Switch presentation ended with the Breath of the Wild trailer itself, and not an explanation, further information will most likely be released in the near future.
Breath of the Wild for the Switch is scheduled to be released alongside the new console, on March 3, 2017.
