If you’ve played any Bioware RPGs in the past two decades, you have probably run into work done by David Gaider. The ex-writer for Bioware Studios has just recently been announced as the new Creative Director for Beamdog, the studio behind the enhanced editions of Baldur’s Gate I & II. David will be in charge of the writing team and directing the company towards new projects.
And it's official! I've joined @BeamdogInc here in Edmonton as their new Creative Director: https://t.co/VIp4Euldgj #excitingtimes

David Gaider is most prominently known for his work on Baldur’s Gate II, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and the Dragon Age series. He has also written several novels set in the Dragon Age universe. Gaider left Bioware earlier this year in January.
Beamdog announced back in July 2015 that they were working on an expansion to Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition that will bridge the gap between the events of the first and second games in the series. The game is set to be 25+ hours long and be an original storyline. Entitled Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear it will be the largest expansion for Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition. It will be designed on the original engine, and a trailer was released back in July that showcases how the game will look and play.
