The previous PC and PlayStation exclusive MMO, DC Universe Online, is now available as a free to play title on Xbox One. In addition, you can download three Xbox One exclusive items: the Powered Up Cape, Powered-Up Emblem and Vapor Aura.
Previously known as Sony Online Entertainment, Daybreak Games have made the game available on the platform, in addition to its PS3, PS4, and PC versions. SJ Muller, the Creative Director of the game said in the press release, “Xbox One players can finally channel their inner Super Hero – or Super-Villain. Whether they want to run fast like The Flash, fly like Superman or wield ice like Captain Cold, we have more than five years’ worth of content to adventure through in DC Universe Online.”
Ever since the core game was released, they have provided more than 20 original episodes, and the game now includes content based on the newly released Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as well as CW’s Legends of Tomorrow. Water powers and content based on Wonder Woman, Darkseid, Harley Quinn, and Gotham Girls are coming in the pipeline for this year. Despite the MMO celebrating its 5 year anniversary, the game is still being updated regularly with new additions.
If you are not aware, DC Universe Online allows you to create your own super hero or villain to fight for justice or tyranny within Metropolis, Gotham City, and other cities in the DC comics. In addition, there are 40 characters to choose from in the Legends PvP and PvE game modes, which include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Joker, Harley Quinn, The Flash, Green Arrow, and others.
Episodes, Legends characters, and powers, are now available to buy individually on the marketplace or through the DCUO Membership, and all future releases will come out on the same time as all other platforms.

Depending on which monthly plan you get, it can cost you between $9.99 to $14.99 per month. The game is still available to play for free, but it gives you the above list of perks as well as other additions in Daybreak’s other titles.
DC Universe Online is the publisher’s first release on Xbox One, but H1Z1: King of the Hill is the next title that will be releasing this year. It is a zombie themed first person shooter that is competitive.
Keep in mind that DC Universe Online requires a Xbox Live Gold membership while playing.
