Big news coming hot off the heels of all those fighting game developers that left, it turns out the EVO Online 2020 is officially canceled. Due to multiple developers all pulling the plug in very rapid succession and the now confirmed allegations against Joey Cueller,
I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt anyone. I was young and reckless and did things I'm not proud of. I have been growing and maturing over the past 20 years, but that doesn't excuse anything. All I have been trying to do is become a better person. Once again, I'm truly sorry.

EVO has now removed Joey Cuellar Aka MrWiz from his position as CEO and Tony Cannon is appointed to act as the new CEO moving forward. EVO will also be donating all proceeds from EVO Online 2020 to Project HOPE. It’s hard to tell how the future of EVO will shape out but it looks like the tournament is trying to take steps to move forward and past these serious events.
