Granblue Fantasy Versus released earlier today on the Steam Store, about ten days after the North American release on PlayStation 4. Not long after the game’s release, some PC players have experienced issues with the game’s performance. Some problems are specifically pertaining to fullscreen.
Perhaps this might have happened to you. See, the game’s fullscreen optimizations would sometimes cause micro-stutters during gameplay, causing dropped inputs. Of course, in a game with delay-based netcode with precise inputs, this can be a problem. So, if you want a fix for this problem, you can thank a Twitter folk for that!
Micro-stuttering Fix on Granblue Fantasy Versus on PC
Twitter user @kendeep_fgc found a simple fix to get around the problem. Open your Steam client and select Granblue Fantasy Versus from your Library. Then, click on the gear to the right of the game’s display, and highlight Manage. Click on it, and select “Browse Local Files” from the subsection that appears.
In this folder, go to the file named GBVS.exe, and right-click it, selecting Properties. In the properties window, click on the Compatibility tab, and check “Disable fullscreen optimizations”. Click Apply at the bottom and the changes will be saved. You can close the tab and then go back to Steam. Launch Granblue Fantasy Versus from the client, and the problem should be solved.
