Guilty Gear Strive’s become one of the bigger fighting games that people have begun paying attention to. With things like a very good open beta, classic characters returning, and stellar rollback netcode, June 11th is approaching fast, and with it, the game’s release. That brings us to what we’re covering today, being the Story Mode.
Today, the Guilty Gear Strive story trailer was revealed, and it gives a bit of context as to what actually is going on in the (currently unfinished) story mode. The trailer can be viewed below, so let’s discuss it and see what we can find on it.
What We See Here
One of the first things that’s immediately noticeable is that the entire trailer is dubbed in English. In comparison, every trailer up to this point has used the Japanese voice set. From what can be gathered, Sol has gone missing, and most of the world is hunting down I-No. The trailer also features various cinematics, including a fight between Giovanna and Nagoriyuki.
Guilty Gear Strive’s story mode is touted as the conclusion to the series’ story, so it might be aiming to tie some loose ends with where the last game’s story left off. What role characters like Anji plays hasn’t been revealed, but it’s safe to assume he will appear as well. The full story mode will be releasing alongside the game on June 11th, so you can look forward to it soon.
Guilty Gear Strive will be releasing on June 11th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
