EA’s Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order launches later this week. EA Access members probably were ready to try the game out with the subscription service’s Play First trial. However, it seems like Electronic Arts will not incorporate this sort of trial at all. That’s right, in an effort to avoid spoilers, the publisher isn’t offering early access or its typical 10 hour trial period.

As the tweet mentioned above, EA Access users will only get cosmetic items instead of a Play First Trial. Not only that, but they will also get 10% off the game as per usual. Of course, there is no need to tell why this is horrible news for EA Access members.
Why did EA Remove Play First Trial for Fallen Order?
If you don’t know, EA Access exists for the early access perk. Subscribers usually pay the fees specifically for perks such as this. While it’s understandable that EA wants to avoid spoilers of a story-driven game, it also left its subscribers with a last-minute notice that doesn’t leave them with much.
Some people might even speculate that the reason why this is done comes down to the game’s length. Who is to say that the campaign can be completed in the 10 hours that EA’s PFT offers? We’re talking about one of the main draws of the game. So this could be done to curb any criticism about the game’s length and to make sure bad word of mouth doesn’t come by the game’s release.
