CJ Projekt Red have announced October 13th as the release date for their first of two scheduled Witcher 3 Expansions packs.
The story of the expansion sees Geralt of Rivia set off to defeat an apparently immortal bandit leader by the name of Olgierd von Everec.
The expansion – the first of two, with ‘Blood and Wine’ as of yet unannounced in its release date – is also introducing various new characters, monster, romance sub-plots and a new ‘Runewords’ system.
The trailer can be seen below:
A boxed version of the game will be made available alongside its standard digital release. This limited edition version of the DLC includes two physical gwent decks and a rulebook, alongside, of course, a code to download the game. People who have already purchased the code can use this site to buy the gwent decks separately.
