Obviously this isn’t the headline you were expecting seeing that everyone on both sides of the aisle is lawyering up for a long winter litigation. But at least it brings some video games back into your home to quell the nerves and to give you some reprieve from the world. Someone tell Billy Mitchell it’s time to play some more Pac-Man baby!
The U.S. Federal Court has dismissed Bandai Namco’s lawsuit against ATGames for their use of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man in the Bandai Namco Arcade Blast! This system holds ten games from gaming’s yesteryear; Dig Dug, Galaga, Galaxian, Mappy, New Rally-X, Pac-Man, Pac-Mania, Sky Kid, Tower of Druaga, and Xevious.
ATGames can now begin to fill the store shelves with Bandai Namco Arcade Blast! I will say that I own the ATGames Sega Genesis that I was gifted by my folks (so I still have it) and it was hot garbage. It came with an A/V cable and the quality was just so sub par. The compilation that will be hitting stores shortly does have an HDMI port, so hopefully the quality will be better, but for thirty bucks I would suggest getting the PS4 or Xbox One Pac-Man Championship Edition 2, I have that and I love it!
