Earning money within Yakuza: Like a Dragon is one of the most important things to do. Thanks to money you can buy weapons, equipment, healing items, and more. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has inserted a rather annoying wall in the game. It will be necessary to accumulate three million yen, which is difficult to get in a short amount of time. My advice is to accumulate them as quickly as possible in order to unlock other useful functions to earn even more. Here is my complete Yakuza: Like a Dragon money farming guide.
MANAGE A COMPANY
The mini-game where you will have to manage a company is one of the best ways to make money in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Before earning a significant amount, it will take a lot of time. Ichiban Confection is the company you will have to manage and you cannot use the budget of the Ichiban Confection outside the company. Take note that you need to complete the meetings with the investors.
When doing this you will receive a cash bonus that will fill the pockets of your protagonist and his party. But if it takes a long time, why did I put it on this list? The reason is simple, all efforts will pay off when Ichiban Confection has grown enough to become Ichiban Holdings. At this point the bonuses will be really huge, reaching figures of 600,000 yen or even more. It is therefore certainly one of the methods to get a vast amount of money.
BE A HERO!
During the adventure throughout the game, Ichiban Kasuga can complete part-time hero missions. These are fairly simple tasks, but they can provide useful items or cash rewards. It is mostly about delivering specific items, such as insects or food, or rescue missions. In the latter’s case, it will be necessary to defeat a group of opponents that should be within your reach.
Completing these part-time hero missions is the best way to accumulate money fast and is particularly effective in the early stages of the game. In addition, completing missions will give you stars that will increase your overall rank. As a result, you will unlock more missions with even greater rewards.
MEOW MEOW
There is a particular part-time mission that allows you to earn a lot of money in a quick time. This can be your salvation when you are required to accumulate three million yen as mentioned earlier. In fact, only with these two missions you can earn two million. First, go to Hiro’s office to unlock the mission. This is located on the Carriage Highway, on the second floor of the building where Café Brave is located. Now you will have to find nine cats. Below are their locations:
- In the S Sakura River St.
- At the business district, at Sunrise St.
- In the bar district, next to the stone facade which is south of the Survive Bar.
- In the alley next to Zhou Long Distribution.
- On the stairway of the building between Bayside St. and Daikokuten St.
- In the alley in the center of Chinatown.
- In the center of Hamakita park, near a fountain.
- South of the Kappo Katsumi restaurant, in the gated area of Jinnai Station.
- Far northwest of the map where the soccer field is located.
Speaking now with Hiro, you will receive one million yen and will be prompted to find the last cat. Go to the far northeast of the map, in Hamakita’s birth, where the tenth feline is. Come back to Hiro once more to receive another million yen. Cats are all quite easily found, as once you arrive in the specific area you will hear them meow.
BATTLE ARENA
Unfortunately, this arena is unlocked only after delivering the famous three million yen. However, the Battle Arena is the best place to quickly power up the entire party and get a ton of cash. Every five floors there will be a control center, which is a checkpoint from which you can restart if you leave the area.
Take note that you always need to make the most of the special rewards of the arena. In fact, many of the weapons that you get are really powerful, but they also have a very high value. So in case you need money and have some spare weapons in your inventory that you took from the arena, consider reselling them at the pawnshop, as they often have a value that exceeds a million yen.
CONCLUSION
These are in my opinion the best money farming possibilities in Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Feel free to choose the path you prefer to get rich. By dedicating a little effort to these activities, you will be able to make the party grow dramatically. On the other hand, almost all methods are already available in the early stages of the game, so you will have complete freedom to choose the approach that suits your needs.
