The classic PS2 era RPG Kowloon Highschool Chronicle is being released outside Japan for the first time. Originally known as Kowloon Youma Gakuen Ki in Japan, the game is being re-released in English on the Switch on February 4th for $29.99 USD. This version features remastered graphics and a unique conversation system in this first-person dungeon crawler.
In Kowloon Highschool Chronicle you take on the role of a young transfer student at Kamiyoshi Academy in Shinjuku, Tokyo. He might seem like a regular student on the surface. However, in reality, he’s a treasure hunter. He’s there to uncover a mysterious ruin hidden deep beneath the school. Together with his new friends at the school, he sets out to explore the depths of these ruins with them. Although things might be more challenging than they appear, as the ruins are full of traps and monsters called “Kehito” lurking around each corner. The Student Council will also prove to be an obstacle to the transfer student.
Deep Challenging Gameplay
Different friends, classmates, and allies are available to join you. And you will need them as you brave the darkest dungeons in search of untold treasure and adventure. You will have to build your team with care as well. The dungeon provides serious challenges and having the right team members could mean the difference between victory and certain doom.
Innovative Dialogue System
Express your feelings and actions in the game through a unique dialogue system. You can choose different expressions to affect how others react to you. Give your character an angry glare, loving touch, or a bizarre lick. Because how everyone views you depends on how straight or insane you appear.
All of the art has been redone in high definition to bring the game into the modern era. So the graphics now truly match the beautiful character designs and challenging gameplay. You can get Kowloon Highschool Chronicle on Nintendo Switch February 4th.
