Funimation announced today that it will stream the newly announced anime adaptation of the upcoming futuristic game Scarlet Nexus this summer. Additionally, Bandai Namco recently announced that Scarlet Nexus will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on June 25.
The game has generated a global interest since its development was announced in May 2020. Fans worldwide have been engulfing themselves in cosplay and character reveals over the last year in anticipation for the Bandai Namco game. Funimation will stream the Scarlet Nexus anime worldwide, making the series available on its service in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom, and Ireland; on Wakanim in France, Germany, Russia, and in the Nordics; and on Animelab in Australia and New Zealand.
Funimation describes Scarlet Nexus’ story as:
Solar calendar year 2020: grotesque organisms called Others have begun eating people. To take down this new enemy, the Other Suppression Force is formed. Saved by this elite team as a child, psychokinetic Yuito withstands the training to enlist. On the other hand, prodigy Kasane was scouted for her abilities. But Kasane’s dreams tell her strange things, dragging the two into an unavoidable fate.
