Original Story: According to new reports, The Force will awaken for everyone to see after all. The trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut tomorrow online alongside its theatrical release, the official Twitter account for the film franchise says.
As it was announced on Twitter, the 88-second trailer will be available on iTunes for free the day it releases in select cinemas Friday, Nov. 28th. There’s yet to be word of when the trailer’s online release is at the time of this writing, but given its debut with a variety of midnight showings, it’s safe to say that it might be early.

“The Force is with you on #BlackFriday when #TheForceAwakens teaser hits @iTunesTrailers,” a message on the Twitter account read. Earlier this Monday, it was reported that the trailer would make its debut in dozens of North American theaters for the Thanksgiving weekend, courtesy of Regal Entertainment.
Directed by J.J. Abrams, The Force Awakens follows the timeless tales of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi and the seeming defeat of the Empire.
The film once again stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher in their titular roles alongside newcomers Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Domhall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, and Max Von Sydow. Abrams’s sole entry into the saga is to begin a new trilogy following Episode VII. That privilege is allegedly going to Breaking Bad’s Rian Johnson, who is purportedly writing and directing its sequel of Episode VIII.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens releases Dec. 18th, 2015 and is intended to accompany the release of video game developer Electronic Arts’s Star Wars Battlefront for the holiday season of that year.
