Microsoft to Enter TV-Market Before Christmas… Next Year
Rumours have been flying around for months now of Microsoft releasing a device to turn your Xbox console into a TV box. New reports suggest that this could become reality by Christmas… next year. The Verge reports that the set-top Xbox would be a “low-cost alternative… designed to provide access to core entertainment services”. To me this sounds like an Xbox 360 console which can’t play games and instead just has access to its multimedia apps such as LoveFilm, Sky and BBC iPlayer etc.

Kids Want Wii U More Than iPhones, Less Than iPad
Ever since Nintendo announced the Wii U the gaming community has been puzzled. None of us can say for certain if the console will be a success or not. It’s great that as “hard-core” gamers we feel that we are being catered for, but it was always nice to know that the Wii was a huge success and that we knew all about it first. According to research done by Nielsen, Nintendo may have struck gold again in the US. Kids between the ages of 6-12 rank the Nintendo Wii U as the second most desirable product to own in the next 6 months (Coming second to Apple’s iPad).

Molyneux Needs Your Money, Offers Trips to E3!!
22cans have announced their next project; “Project Godus” which is requesting a total of £450,000 for development costs. The game is due to (hopefully) launch within the next year if the target is reached. The kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/22cans/project-godus?ref=recently_launched) offers basic gifts such as access to forums and BETA codes for small donations whilst donating £5,000 will buy you a ticket to E3 as well as transport/accommodation costs. Project Godus will be a God-Game and will be released on PC and Mobile devices.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Vita Version Delayed
For those gamers looking forward to the cross-buy feature that was being offered with Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (or Ratchet & Clank: QForce as it’s known in Europe), they will have to wait. According to CVG, the Vita version of the game has been delayed. According to Sony, the delay is “to ensure that your experience is packed with all the action and polish you’d expect from a Ratchet & Clank game.” Both versions were set to launch on November 27 in the US and late November in the EU to promote Sony’s cross-buy feature. The PlayStation 3 version will still release in November.

Nintendo ID’s Are System-Based
As the Nintendo Wii U is now in the hands of gamers across the US, we are getting more and more information which Nintendo, to be honest, should had supplied us before the console even launched. The Nintendo ID, which gamers create in order to communicate and play games with each other, can only be used on the Wii U console which they are created on. Due to this, all game saves, settings and Miiverse posts will be deleted if your ID is to be lost/deleted.
