Furthermore, it includes a Limited Edition fold-out poster featuring characters from both Aladdin and The Lion King. Check it out:
The really juicy stuff is the Legacy Cartridge version of the game compilation. There will be a reproduction cart of Aladdin for the Genesis complete with lovingly restored artwork and gleaming translucent cartridge shells. Everything that you’ve come to expect from iam8bit’s definitive series, honoring games that defined retro gaming excellence.
The Lion King will also get its own cartridge. Bringing a painstaking restoration of all the original artwork and presentation in a premium package fit for royalty. Additionally, this game comes complete with all the retro trappings, including an all-important, custom dust cover.
As the promotional art says, both cartridges will be available in very limited supply. In fact, there will only be 4,500 of them for collectors to get their hands on. Yes, both games will be playable in their respective systems. So you can play these Disney classic games in the original hardware!
Pre-orders for both the Retro Editions and Legacy Cartridges will open on October 24 at 10 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET on Best Buy and iam8bit, respectively. So now you can start saving up your money to get these special editions of the Disney Classic Games.
